Vibrant Spanish Reds II
In this second set of Spanish reds, we feature a more 'easy-drinking' selection of fruit-driven reds, a bit more on the medium/light side, perfect every day wines with a focus on freshness.

(Empordà, Spain) Sota Els Angels - Flow Tinto 2018
A juicy, slightly funky, fun red with a lovely fruity character and a slight savoury note. It's light and vibrant, with some soft tannins and a rounded finish. Made from Merlot/Grenache/carignan. Sota Els Angels is a small biodynamic winery in Spain's Northeast run by Maria & Guy, a couple firmly rooted in respectful farming and making wines of pleasure and drinkability.
(Navarra, Spain) Azul y Garanza - Naturaleza Salvaje Tinto 2018
Fantastic Grenache from an old single-vineyard located in the Bardenas Reales desert. The wine was made and aged in clay amphoras, and is lean but complex, pristine, pure, with gorgeous red fruits and a velvety texture. Made by Maria, Dani, and Fernando, a dynamic trio who slowly converted an abandoned cooperative building in their village of Carcastillo to a fully operational winery. A huge commitment to biodiversity in the vines leads to wines of pronounced purity.
(Montsant, Spain) Lectores Vini - La Selección 2018
Red-fruited Grenache/ Carignan blend. Very pure fruit, no oak, lovely bit of spice and floral notes. Medium bodied, juicy! Lectores Vini is a collaborative project between Fredi Torres and Marc Lecha, seeking to showcase pure expressions of the Montsant region along with Priorat and Conca de Barbera, all located in Catalunya.
