The perfect introduction to the wonderful world of orange (skin-contact) wines.

Currently featuring:

(Douro, Portugal) Folias de Baco - Curtido 2022

A wildly exciting, raw orange wine made from the Moscatel Galego grape. The wine spends four months on its skins completely untouched meaning the extraction is very light. This cloudy orange wine is beautifully floral and aromatic, complex in the mouth and soft from its texture, but super crisp with its citrusy acidity and very lean at barely 10% abv. Grapefruit and clementine vibes. Made by Tiago Sampaio, a grower who took over his Grandparents' vineyards and 2007 and has progressively become one of Portugal's most sought after natural wine producers.

(Sicily, Italy) Valdibella - Ninfa 2021

This orange wine is made from the rare variety Catarratto Extra Lucido, a mutation with soft skins and a more delicate profile than its relative Catarratto. Two weeks of skin contact, 6 months in steel tanks, and bottled with no additions. It's a proper orange wine with colour and structure, and an incredible aromatic profile of ginger and apricots. Saline, bold, and surprising. Made by the team at Valdibella, an impressive and inspiring cooperative based in Sicily's west who have a huge focus on biodiverse farmlands, an active social impact, and are part of the Addiopizzo anti-mafia movement.

(Penedes, Spain) Entre Vinyes - Oniric Brisat 2022

The perfect 'gateway' orange wine. Part fermented on its skins for 14 days, this old-vine Xarel-lo/ Parellada blend then spent 6 months in clay amphoras as well as steel tanks. It's light in colour, low alcohol, crisp and fresh yet so soft and drinkable. Lovely fruity aromatic with a slight saline component. Perfect on its own or with a variety of foods. Made by Maria & Pep, a couple who started from scratch in 2012 after taking over some old vineyards, and have slowly built this project into the successful and experimental winery it is today.
